The objectives of project will be accomplished through six work packages, each focusing on key sub-areas of the project. Each work package is often be carried out collaboratively by multiple partners.
Work Package 1 (WP1)- Algae cultivation and biomass bnalysis
Work Package 2 (WP2)- Feeding algae to cows for improved health
Work Package 3 (WP3)- Influence of algae on intestinal health
Work Package 4 (WP4)- Influence of algae on rumen microbiome diversity
Work Package 5 (WP5) - Influence of algae on methane-producing archaea
Work Package 6 (WP6)- Microbial and enzymatic algae polysaccharide degradation
Alg4Nut project is funded within the framework of the EFRE program 2021–2027 of the State of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern from resources of the European Regional Development Fund of the European Union. The project started on 01.04.2025 and will continue until 31.03.2029.
